  • Alex Dweeby and the Wild Wetlands, by Christina L. Chan, a two-book series about a youngster who tries to win a singing competition, accompanied by wildlife, to save the local wetlands, Abrams Fanfare, Spring 2029
  • Forest Freaks, by Nat Iwata, identical twins find something unusual in the woods behind their school in a story blending American mythology and Japanese folklore, Abrams Fanfare, Fall 2028
  • Keen Street Pet Detectives, by Andy Hirsch, three books featuring kid detectives solving mysteries involving animals, Little, Brown Ink, 2027
  • Princess Nightmare, by Jadzia Axelrod and Rye Hickman, a trans teen tries to avoid their prophesied role and discovers an accepting goblin community, Mad Cave, TBD
  • Rock and Spike, by Olga Herrera, best friends that are a rock and a cactus have misadventures in this two-book series, Random House Graphic, Summer 2027
